Three Christmases

Our Christmas holiday started with dinner at Nana and Pada's house with Uncle Bobby, Aunt Bethany, Stone and Dashel.

On Christmas Day we invited our friends, the Blackwelders, over for dinner. Usually Kris is the one who does the cooking but seeing as she just gave birth to her daughter, Brynn, less than a week prior we thought we would give her a break. The boys deep fried a turkey...it was delicious. Our final Christmas was spent with my mother this past week. Grandma made the trek up here for a few days. The girls were very excited to have their Grandma up for a visit.Grandma with Abby before bed.

Gingerbread Houses

A few weeks ago the girls and I went to our local library to make our own gingerbread houses. The kids loved it-what kid wouldn't love a candy covered table and cups of frosting. I am surprised that any of it actually made it onto the gingerbread houses.

Holiday Mini Dance Recital

As you all know Emily is now taking dance class. She absolutely LOVES it. She constantly wants the radio on so she can put her dance shoes on and dance around the house. Last week we were asked attend her first recital. It was the cutest thing ever!

She is the happiest when she is dancing. Look at her smile!!The girls enjoying Christmas cookies and juice.

Let It Snow

In the past few weeks we have had a couple of snow storms. Emily can't wait to put on her snowsuit and get right into things. Abby wants to love the snow but she is still getting used to trying to maneuver while wearing bulky clothes.

Santa's Village

The Gilford Community Center put together a winter wonderland for all the children to enjoy. There were games, bouncy house, a HUGE slide and many crafts. The girls enjoyed all that was offered, especially the free popcorn and cookies. The girls also had the opportunity to watch Rudolph and tell Santa what they wanted for Christmas. Emily had no problem sitting with Santa. Abigail, on the other hand, wanted NOTHING to do with him. She couldn't find the door fast enough. All in all, it was a great way to spend a Saturday morning with the family.

Dance, Dance, Dance!

I always envisioned signing my girls up for soccer, lacrosse maybe even T-ball, not dance class. Emily is a complete mystery to me. She likes wearing princess dresses that twirl, putting on "pretty"(make-up) and dancing around the living room with a fairy wand. Like I said, a complete mystery. I think the first time I had to dress up was for my sister's communion and I insisted on wearing a baseball hat. Yes, there are pictures. So it will come to a surprise to some that I signed Emily up for.....dance class.

Picking out their scarves
Not real sure what positions the girls were practicing in these pictures, but I am sure that will come in time...I hope.

This video is the cutest thing I have ever seen. The smile on Emily's face is priceless.
Poor Abigail has to watch from outside the dance studio. Miss Cathy did let her join at the end of class.

Thanks Sharon, Emily had a blast!! :)

Happy Halloween

Emily's school invited all of the children to wear their costumes and walk in a parade around the playground. The costumes were great and the kids had a great time.

The Blackwelder's were kind enough to have the kids over to their house for some trick-or-treating and dinner. The weather held off just long enough to hit all the houses in the neighborhood. The kids had a great time. Thanks Auntie Kris, Uncle Derek and Clark for having us over.Raggedy Ann
