Old Home Day 2010

We attended Old Home Day this year for the first time. It reminded my a lot of the Extravaganza where I grew up. There was a parade and immediately following the parade we proceeded to the craft fair, face painting and the dance floor. We were hoping to catch the fireworks at night but Abby isn't a big fan of loud noises, maybe next year. It was funny to watch the parade and realize that we knew someone on most of the floats. Love small town living!

Girls patiently waiting for the parade to start.
The very first float...can anyone say Mayberry??
Waving to everyone she knows in the parade

We told the girls to pose for a pic and this is what we got. Could they be any more different?

Things got a little strange by the end of our visit...

Happy 5th Birthday Emily!!

Miss Emily turned five today. It astounds me how quickly time goes by when you have children. It feels just like yesterday that Todd and I were driving to the hospital at 1 o'clock in the morning wondering what we got ourselves into. Five years later and I wouldn't change a thing. We are such proud parents. Emily has evolved into such a wonderful little girl. She is sweet, kind and such a pleasure to have her in our lives. Happy Birthday Baby Girl!

Chuck E. Cheese Birthday Celebration

We took Emily and her friends, Tyler and Rylee, to Chuck E. Cheese for a small birthday celebration. Everyone, including Todd and I, had a blast. Abigail was a little maniac running from one game to the next putting coins, it was hysterical.

Happy Birthday Emily!!! Love you!

Friends

The girls spending time at Manfredi Farms in Westerly, RI. They had a great time despite Delaney almost loosing her hand to a donkey and Emily getting pecked by a crazed chicken. I love when these three get together. So cute!

Would love to know what these two are thinking.

Happy 40th ReRe!!

After Williamstown, the girls and I went down to CT to visit my family and celebrate my sister's 40th birthday. It was great to see James, ReRe and MoMo! Thanks for having us over!

The Williamstown Cousins

The girls and I went on a little road trip to visit some family. We started with a visit to The Bath Family in Williamstown. Needless to say, the kids got along great! Emily and Abigail enjoyed to pool immensely and have since asked to put one in our backyard. I just say "Soon." That seems to quiet them. Abigail had a tough time choosing what cousin she wanted to spend time with, what room to sleep in, etc. She ended up with me after many trips up and down the stairs to give me "something". We had such a great time that we plan to make another trip very soon. Hope you are ready Auntie Julie!! :)

The Driscoll's

Our friends, Dave and Keelie, just bought a beautiful home in Stonington, CT. We were finally able to venture down to CT to spend the weekend. We had a wonderful time. Thanks Dave, Keelie and Delaney for taking over your house for a weekend.
