Dance, Dance, Dance!

I always envisioned signing my girls up for soccer, lacrosse maybe even T-ball, not dance class. Emily is a complete mystery to me. She likes wearing princess dresses that twirl, putting on "pretty"(make-up) and dancing around the living room with a fairy wand. Like I said, a complete mystery. I think the first time I had to dress up was for my sister's communion and I insisted on wearing a baseball hat. Yes, there are pictures. So it will come to a surprise to some that I signed Emily up for.....dance class.

Picking out their scarves
Not real sure what positions the girls were practicing in these pictures, but I am sure that will come in time...I hope.

This video is the cutest thing I have ever seen. The smile on Emily's face is priceless.
Poor Abigail has to watch from outside the dance studio. Miss Cathy did let her join at the end of class.

Thanks Sharon, Emily had a blast!! :)

Happy Halloween

Emily's school invited all of the children to wear their costumes and walk in a parade around the playground. The costumes were great and the kids had a great time.

The Blackwelder's were kind enough to have the kids over to their house for some trick-or-treating and dinner. The weather held off just long enough to hit all the houses in the neighborhood. The kids had a great time. Thanks Auntie Kris, Uncle Derek and Clark for having us over.Raggedy Ann

Homecoming II

While at Fun Spot Emily and Kaylie, with the help of some eager parents, accumulated a large number of tickets. As the day was winding down, Todd and I took Emily downstairs to cash in her tickets. She picked a wonderful prize for 250 tickets. Those of you not familiar with Fun Spot that is equivalent to about$20 American dollars. The rest of the crew was trying desperately to finish their cupful of tokens when Emily showed Kaylie her prize. You know the rest...Kaylie wanted the same exact thing. So all the adults quickly counted(put the tickets into a machine) their tickets to see where we stood. We were short. Mike and Todd daringly took the girls downstairs so Kaylie could pick her prize while Keelie, Steph and I frantically cashed in $3 dollars for tokens and strategically picked out the game with the highest possible ticket jackpot. We decided on the Wonder Well. It resembles that big wheel that people spin on The Price Is Right. Steph went, earned 30 tickets. I went earning a whopping 10 tickets. Keelie's turn. Long story short, we had to borrow tokens from a 10-year-girl behind us due to machine malfunction. She earned just enough to give Kaylie the 250 needed to get her prize. Crisis averted. Girls left happy. Oh, Emily and Kaylie left happy too.
Sorry about the picture. That is Emily and Kaylie holding up their loot. The most inexpensive looking toy pony I have ever laid eyes on. :) Whatever makes the kids happy.

Fall Fun

The weather in the past few days has finally felt like fall. 50 degrees, sunny and just plain beautiful. That being said, we took advantage and made some Jack-O-Lanterns and played outside.

Guilty of something...

Throwing leaves up into the air

Loved throwing them, didn't like them hitting her in the face

Homecoming 2009, New Hampshire Style

This year we decided to attend Homecoming at WNEC with the Driscol's and the Doolan's. We were really excited to bring the kids along and catch a football game. The weather was horrible so we decided to have everyone up to New Hampshire for the weekend and what a great weekend it was.

The first morning. Yes, that is 5 girls under the age of 5. :)
After breakfast we decided to take the girls to Fun Spot. A place where you spend $20 to earn tickets to trade in for a $.75 toy. What could be better??? Fun for the whole family.

Bedtime Story

T reading a story to Emily, Clark and Abigail. Clearly Abigail is completely engrossed in what Daddy is saying.

Emily's First Day of School

I am aware that it is already October and I am just now posting Emily's first day of school photo. I am the first to admit that I have been slacking quite a bit on my blogging responsibilities. Sorry! :)
